Liver Yin fails to moisten the eyes and anchor Yang.
Differentiate from
- Liver Blood xu (pale tongue, no empty heat)
- Liver Fire (full heat, thick yellow coat, flooding wiry pulse)
Etiology
Blood xu progressing to Yin xu; Kidney Yin xu failing to nourish Liver; heat from constraint; aging.
Treatment Principle
Nourish Liver Yin; settle Yang if it is already rising.
