Health Information You Choose to Save
If you save a health profile or use features that store health-related details (such as conditions, medications, allergies, or pregnancy status) to personalize our tools, we treat this as sensitive information. Providing it is always optional, it is used only to power the features you ask for, and it is never sold or shared for advertising. You can view, edit, or delete it at any time from your account.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to provide and improve our services, respond to inquiries, and send educational content when requested. Saved health details are used only to pre-fill and personalize the tools you use. Symptom-checker queries are anonymized before being sent to AI services for processing.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), HTTP-only authentication cookies, and CSRF protection on all forms. Sensitive health details you choose to save are additionally encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) so they are not stored in plain text in our database.
Data Retention
We keep your account and saved data until you delete it or close your account. When you delete your account, your personal data — including any saved health information, stars, notes, and reports — is permanently removed from our systems.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services including Cloudflare (CDN, security, and image storage) and xAI (AI symptom analysis). Each service has its own privacy policy. Symptom data sent to AI services is anonymized.
Your Rights
You can exercise your data rights directly from your profile settings: download a full copy of your data (portability) or permanently delete your account (erasure). You may also request access to or correction of your personal data by contacting us at privacy@verscienta.com.
