Overview
Emergency. Night fever with a crimson tongue, faint rash, delirium, or cold limbs from Heat in the Pericardium can move into coma or hemorrhage. Historical pattern label only. Send to emergency care. Do not treat as an outpatient pattern first.
Heat entering the nutritive aspect and threatening the Pericardium.
Differentiate from
- Qi Level (yellow coat still present, flooding pulse)
- Xue Level (frank bleeding)
Treatment Principle
Clear Ying; cool Blood slightly; open the Pericardium if needed.
Representative formulas. Qing Ying Tang; An Gong Niu Huang Wan if closed — prescription patent; use certified or artificial bezoar, never unregulated wildlife sources.
