Location

On the radial side of the distal phalanx of the little finger, 0.1 finger-cun proximal-lateral to the radial corner of the nail, where the line of the radial border of the nail meets the line of the nail base.

How to locate: At the radial corner of the little fingernail, find where lines along the radial border and the base of the nail cross, about 0.1 cun from the corner; SI1 is the matching point at the ulnar corner.

A first-aid point for collapse and for acute cardiac distress; bleeding is the usual method rather than retained needling.
