Description

Yi Gong San (Extraordinary Merit Powder), from the Xiao Er Yao Zheng Zhi Jue (Craft of Medicinal Treatment for Childhood Disease Patterns) by Qian Yi — a variation of Si Jun Zi Tang.

Actions: Tonifies and regulates qi; Strengthens the Spleen; Harmonizes the Stomach.

Presentation: Spleen and Stomach deficiencies with qi stagnation: poor appetite, fullness and discomfort of the chest and epigastrium, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Composition: Si Jun Zi Tang plus Chen Pi. Source uses equal amounts; bracketed doses are modern suggestions.

Preparation

Grind equal amounts to powder; cook 6g with 5 slices Sheng Jiang and 2 Da Zao in a large bowl of water down to 70%; take warm before meals. Today decocted with bracketed doses.
