Location

On the upper abdomen, 6 cun above the umbilicus, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

How to locate: Treat the distance from the sternocostal angle to the centre of the umbilicus as 8 proportional cun: measure 2 cun down from the angle (6 cun above the umbilicus), then 2 cun lateral, level with CV14. With a narrow costal angle the point may fall on the rib margin.
