Overview
Spleen Qi too weak to keep Blood in the vessels.
Differentiate from
- Blood Heat (bright-red heavy flow, red tongue)
- Blood Stasis (dark clots, fixed pain)
Etiology
Chronic Spleen Qi xu; overthinking; blood loss that further weakens the Spleen.
Treatment Principle
Tonify Spleen Qi; contain Blood.
Representative formulas. Gui Pi Tang; Huang Tu Tang if stools are black and the middle is cold.
Representative points. SP-1 with moxa, SP-6, ST-36, BL-20, BL-17, REN-6.
