Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net slightly warm (+0.49)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

cold cool neutral warm hot

Grams by band: cold 13%, cool 10%, neutral 7%, warm 58%, hot 13%.

Small but decisive: Zhi Chuan Wu 6g (hot, 3% of the grams), Ze Xie 6g (cold, 3% of the grams), Huang Lian 6g (cold, 3% of the grams), Gan Jiang 6g (hot, 3% of the grams), Wu Zhu Yu 15g (hot, 7% of the grams), Huang Bai 15g (cold, 7% of the grams). Dose weighting nearly cancels a herb this small, but it may be what the formula is for.

Taste

pungent sweet bitter bland
  • pungent 50%
  • sweet 18%
  • bitter 27%
  • bland 5%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Spleen 82%
  • Stomach 56%
  • Lung 46%
  • Kidney 39%
  • Large intestine 31%
  • Heart 21%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.

Each entry reads as the larger formula written out: “+” adds its other catalogue cores, then the herbs none of them hold. A catalogue formula counts as a core only when at least 80% of its herbs are present, no more than 1 is absent, and the absent herb is not its chief.
