Description
Qing Pi Yin (Clear the Spleen Decoction), from the Ji Sheng Fang (Formulas to Aid the Living) by Yan Yong-He — a variation of Chai Hu Da Yuan Yin.
Actions: Dries dampness, dissolves phlegm, purges heat, and clears the Spleen (as described).
Presentation: Malaria with alternating fever and chills (more fever than chills), bitter taste, loss of appetite, dysuria, wiry rapid pulse; root cause is Spleen failing to dry dampness and dissolve phlegm, leading to damp-phlegm obstruction of the mo yuan.
Composition: Source: equal amounts coarsely ground; 12g of powder cooked with 5 slices of Sheng Jiang. No individual weights printed.

Formula family
Each entry reads as the larger formula written out: “+” adds its other catalogue cores, then the herbs none of them hold. A catalogue formula counts as a core only when at least 80% of its herbs are present, no more than 1 is absent, and the absent herb is not its chief.

Match score combines dosage-weighted composition (cosine, 70%) with shared-herb overlap (Jaccard, 30%).
Traditional formula information is for educational purposes only. Herbal formulas should be prescribed by a qualified practitioner — dosages and combinations are individualized and can interact with medications.
