Description

Wu Hu Tang (Five-Tiger Decoction), from Collected Treatises of [Zhang] Jing-Yue (1624).

Associated formula of Ma Xing Shi Gan Tang.

Actions: Clears heat from the Lungs; Disseminates the Lung qi; Stops coughing and wheezing

Indications: Labored breathing with heaving of the chest, fullness in the chest, wheezing, and nasal flaring

Pattern: Wind-cold entering at BL-13 and transforming into heat obstructing the Lung channel

Usage: Focuses more superficially on the Lung channel than the principal formula.
