Full Fire rising through the Liver channel.
Differentiate from
- Liver Yang Rising (less full-fire signs, often a Yin-xu root)
- Liver Qi Stagnation turning to Heat (milder, still constraint-first)
Etiology
Prolonged constraint turning to Fire; alcohol; rage; hot diet.
Pathomechanism
Liver Fire blazes upward, disturbing the head and Shen.
Treatment Principle
Clear Liver Fire; drain downward.
Representative formulas. Long Dan Xie Gan Tang; Dang Gui Long Hui Wan in severe excess.
