Description

Xiao He Zhong Yin (Minor Harmonize the Middle Drink), from Collected Treatises of [Zhang] Jing-Yue (1624).

Associated formula of Bao He Wan.

Actions: Transforms dampness; Eliminates accumulations

Indications: Accumulations that cannot be purged but need gradual reduction: fullness and distention from excessively cold food, focal distention with malarial symptoms, incompletely cleared turbid qi or fire during recovery, vomiting and focal distention in children, pox and papular rashes with abdominal distention.

Pattern: Mild accumulation with dampness requiring gradual reduction

Usage: Gentle reducing formula for accumulations unsuitable for purging.
