Cold congeals Qi and Blood in the Jue Yin channel.
Differentiate from
- Liver Qi Stagnation (no cold contraction)
- Damp-Heat in the channel (burning, yellow discharge)
Etiology
Exterior Cold invading Jue Yin; Kidney or Spleen Yang xu.
Treatment Principle
Warm the Liver channel; dispel Cold; move Qi.
Representative formulas. Nuan Gan Jian; Wu Zhu Yu Tang when vertex and vomiting dominate.
Representative points. LIV-3, LIV-5, REN-4 with moxa, REN-6, DU-20.
