Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net cool (-0.91)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

cold cool neutral warm

Grams by band: cold 41%, cool 19%, neutral 31%, warm 9%.

Small but decisive: Che Qian Zi 60g (cold, 6% of the grams), Han Shui Shi 90g (cold, 9% of the grams). Dose weighting nearly cancels a herb this small, but it may be what the formula is for.

Taste

pungent sweet sour bitter salty bland
  • pungent 27%
  • sweet 51%
  • sour 4%
  • bitter 10%
  • salty 5%
  • bland 3%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Liver 84%
  • Kidney 79%
  • Spleen 26%
  • Lung 20%
  • Pericardium 19%
  • Heart 16%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.
