Description

Xin Yi Qing Fei Yin (Magnolia Decoction to Clear the Lung), from the Wai Ke Zheng Zong (True Lineage of External Medicine) by Chen Shi-Gong.

Actions: Clears heat from the Lung; Disperses stagnation and unblocks nasal obstruction.

Presentation: Nasal obstruction caused by Lung heat: stuffy nose, nasal obstruction, yellow nasal discharge that is thick and sticky, and a decreased sense of smell.

Preparation

Cook in 2 bowls of water until reduced to 80%; take warm, strained, after meals. Wrap Xin Yi Hua in cheesecloth and remove the hairs from Pi Pa Ye to avoid throat irritation.
