Description

Qing Jin Hua Tan Wan (Clear Metal and Transform Phlegm Pill), from Systematic Instructions on Medicine (1534).

Actions: Clears Lung fire; Moistens dryness; Transforms phlegm

Indications: Phlegm-heat clogging the Lungs with thick, yellow sputum, a greasy, yellow tongue coating, and a soft and rapid pulse.

Usage: Clears the Lungs directly for phlegm-heat lodged in the Lung channel, unlike the principal formula which reorders the qi dynamic.
