Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net warm (+1.06)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

warm hot

Grams by band: warm 94%, hot 6%.

Small but decisive: Wu Zhu Yu 30g (hot, 6% of the grams). Dose weighting nearly cancels a herb this small, but it may be what the formula is for.

Taste

pungent sweet sour bitter
  • pungent 74%
  • sweet 6%
  • sour 6%
  • bitter 15%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Spleen 88%
  • Stomach 65%
  • Lung 59%
  • Kidney 41%
  • Large intestine 12%
  • Heart 12%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

1 herb without a dose in grams, so left out of every figure above: Da Zao.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.
