Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net slightly warm (+0.48)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

cold neutral warm

Grams by band: cold 7%, neutral 31%, warm 62%.

Small but decisive: Chu Shi Zi 30g (cold, 7% of the grams). Dose weighting nearly cancels a herb this small, but it may be what the formula is for.

Taste

pungent sweet sour bitter salty bland
  • pungent 17%
  • sweet 52%
  • sour 14%
  • bitter 10%
  • salty 3%
  • bland 3%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Kidney 90%
  • Liver 52%
  • Lung 35%
  • Spleen 28%
  • Heart 28%
  • Stomach 17%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.

Preparation

Powder the herbs and form honey pills the size of Wu Tong Zi seeds (~5 mm). Take 30 pills three times daily on an empty stomach with warm grain-based liquor and/or warm salted water. Source says improvement appears within 5-30 days and the formula is safe long term; salt acts as a channel guide to the Kidney.
