Dui Yao — Core Herb Pairs

The classical two-herb combinations at the heart of this formula, as recorded on the herbs' own pages — each pair has an action neither herb has alone.

Bai Jiang Cao败酱草 + Yi Yi Ren薏苡仁

Together they clear heat, drain damp, expel pus and disperse abscess, especially in the intestines.

Classic indication: intestinal abscess after pus has formed.
