Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net neutral (0.00)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

cold cool neutral warm

Grams by band: cold 18%, cool 12%, neutral 24%, warm 47%.

Pairs warm and cool. 47% of the weighed grams are warm or hot and 29% cool or cold — the net is their average, not the whole story.

Taste

pungent sweet sour bitter bland
  • pungent 19%
  • sweet 44%
  • sour 16%
  • bitter 13%
  • bland 9%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Spleen 82%
  • Liver 47%
  • Large intestine 29%
  • Kidney 24%
  • Lung 18%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

1 herb without a dose in grams, so left out of every figure above: Chen Pi.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.
