On the upper back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of T1.
Needling
Depth:
0.5–0.8 cun
Angle:
Oblique, directed medially toward the spine
⚠ Cautions: Deep perpendicular needling risks pneumothorax — angle toward the spine.
