Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net cool (-1.38)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

cold cool warm

Grams by band: cold 48%, cool 48%, warm 5%.

Small but decisive: Niu Bang Zi 6g (cold, 10% of the grams), Chan Tui 3g (cold, 5% of the grams), Huang Lian 3g (cold, 5% of the grams). Dose weighting nearly cancels a herb this small, but it may be what the formula is for.

Taste

pungent sweet sour bitter salty
  • pungent 26%
  • sweet 17%
  • sour 7%
  • bitter 48%
  • salty 2%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Liver 81%
  • Lung 67%
  • Heart 33%
  • Stomach 14%
  • Small intestine 10%
  • Large intestine 5%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.
