Description

Bu Huan Jin Zheng Qi San (Rectify the Qi Powder Worth More than Gold), from the Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang (Imperial Grace Formulary of the Tai Ping Era) by Imperial Medical Department.

Actions: Activates qi and resolves dampness; Harmonizes the Stomach and stops vomiting.

Presentation: Damp accumulation in the middle jiao: vomiting, diarrhea, fever and chills, abdominal fullness and distention, and urgent conditions such as sudden turmoil disorder.

Composition: Ping Wei San plus Huo Xiang and Ban Xia (equal amounts)

Cautions:

  • Warm and drying: use with caution in yin or blood deficiency.
  • Avoid raw, cold, oily or greasy foods while taking it.

Preparation

Source text: equal amounts powdered; cook 9g with 3 slices Sheng Jiang and 2 Da Zao in 1.5 bowls water to 80%; take hot before meals. Today: 3-6g powder with Sheng Jiang/Da Zao decoction.
