Location
On the medial aspect of the thigh, 4 cun above the base of the patella, between gracilis and sartorius, just posterior to sartorius.
Focks' Atlas of Acupuncture places it 4 cun above the medial condyle of the femur, between sartorius and vastus medialis, i.e. anterior rather than posterior to sartorius.
How to locate: With the hip slightly flexed and abducted and the thigh tensed, sartorius stands out on the medial thigh; measure 4 cun above the base of the patella and find the point in the groove just posterior to sartorius, between it and gracilis. Tenderness helps confirm it.
