Location

On the lateral side of the great toe, approximately 0.1 cun proximal to the corner of the nail.

Needling

Depth: 0.1–0.2 cun
Angle: Shallow perpendicular, or prick to bleed
Moxibustion: Direct moxibustion at LV1 is the classical treatment for hernia and for uterine bleeding of the deficient-cold type.

  • Regulates qi in the lower burner and relieves hernia
  • Stops uterine bleeding and regulates menstruation
