Location

On the chest, in the seventh intercostal space, directly below the nipple, one rib below GB23 and LV14.

Needling

Depth: 0.3–0.5 cun
Angle: Oblique or transverse along the intercostal space
⚠ Cautions: Pneumothorax risk on deep perpendicular insertion.

  • Clears damp-heat from the Liver and Gallbladder
  • Descends rebellious qi and harmonises the middle burner

Indications

Hypochondriac pain and gallstonesjaundicebitter taste in the mouthacid regurgitation, hiccup and vomitingcholecystitis

Clinical Notes

The Front-Mu of the Gallbladder and usually tender in gallbladder disease; paired with GB34 and the extra point Dannangxue.
