Location

On the upper back, 0.5 cun lateral to GV14, below the spinous process of C7.

How to locate: With the patient seated and the head slightly flexed, find C7 as the prominent spinous process at the base of the neck that moves when the neck is flexed and extended; the point is 0.5 cun lateral to GV14, below its spinous process.

Clinical Notes

Its name means 'stop wheezing', and it is the most specific point in the repertoire for an acute asthma attack — usually with BL13 and CV17.
