Description

Zhi Shi Shao Yao San (Immature Bitter Orange and Peony Powder), from the Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essentials from the Golden Cabinet) by Zhang Zhong-Jing — a variation of Si Ni San.

Presentation: Postpartum qi and blood stagnation, possibly with interior heat: abdominal pain, irritability, and abscess or swelling.

Grind equal amounts to powder; take 1 large spoonful (6-9g) with (wheat or rice) porridge three times daily; the porridge protects the middle jiao.
