Description

Yue Ju Wan (Escape Restraint Pill), from the Dan Xi Xin Fa (Teachings of [Zhu] Dan-Xi) by Zhu Zhen-Heng.

Actions: Regulates qi and relieves constraint.

Presentation: Qi stagnation: distention and oppression in the chest and diaphragm, epigastric and abdominal fullness and pain, acid regurgitation, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, and belching with a fetid odor.

Composition: Source uses equal amounts of all five herbs; only bracketed modern doses printed.

Cautions:

  • Contraindicated in generalized weakness and deficiency with abdominal fullness, distention, oppression, loose stools and poor appetite
