Description

Xiao Qi Qi Tang (Minor Seven-Emotions Decoction), from Formulary of the Pharmacy Service for Benefiting the People in the Taiping Era (1107).

Associated formula of Ban Xia Hou Po Tang.

Actions: Tonifies the qi; Warms the middle burner; Resolves constraint; Transforms phlegm

Usage: For clumping or constraint from the seven emotions with colicky chest/abdominal pain or drum distention; suited to chronic constraint with cold from deficiency. Wang Ang renamed it Si Qi Tang, causing confusion with the formula above.
