Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net slightly cool (-0.59)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

cold neutral warm

Grams by band: cold 47%, neutral 19%, warm 34%.

Pairs warm and cool. 34% of the weighed grams are warm or hot and 47% cool or cold — the net is their average, not the whole story.

Small but decisive: Hu Huang Lian 3g (cold, 10% of the grams), Huang Bai 2.4g (cold, 8% of the grams). Dose weighting nearly cancels a herb this small, but it may be what the formula is for.

Taste

pungent sour bitter
  • pungent 19%
  • sour 19%
  • bitter 61%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Large intestine 95%
  • Stomach 73%
  • Liver 29%
  • Spleen 24%
  • Lung 19%
  • Kidney 13%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.
