Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net cool (-0.99)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

cold cool warm

Grams by band: cold 11%, cool 84%, warm 6%.

Small but decisive: Huang Lian 9g (cold, 2% of the grams), Huang Bai 6g (cold, 1% of the grams), Sheng Di Huang 30g (cold, 7% of the grams). Dose weighting nearly cancels a herb this small, but it may be what the formula is for.

Taste

pungent sweet bitter
  • pungent 3%
  • sweet 89%
  • bitter 8%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Large intestine 87%
  • Liver 15%
  • Heart 13%
  • Kidney 8%
  • Spleen 8%
  • Stomach 2%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.
