Description

Gua Lou Xie Bai Bai Jiu Tang (Trichosanthes Fruit, Chinese Chive, and Wine Decoction), from the Jin Gui Yao Lue (Essentials from the Golden Cabinet) by Zhang Zhong-Jing — a variation of Zhi Shi Xie Bai Gui Zhi Tang.

Actions: Unblocks yang to disperse stagnation; Activates qi to dispel phlegm.

Presentation: Xiong bi (painful obstruction of the chest): chest fullness and pain, chest pain radiating to the back, dyspnea, shortness of breath, white, greasy tongue coating, deep, wiry or tight pulse.
