Energetics dose-weighted

The formula's overall nature, taste balance and channel reach, weighted by each herb's dose. Classical formulas often pair warm and cool herbs on purpose, so a net figure summarises the mix — it doesn't describe every herb in it.

Nature

Cold Cool Neutral Warm Hot

Net slightly cool (-0.62)

From 100% of the weighed grams.

cold cool neutral warm

Grams by band: cold 31%, cool 17%, neutral 35%, warm 17%.

Small but decisive: Huang Bai 1.5g (cold, 6% of the grams), Lian Zi Xin 2g (cold, 8% of the grams). Dose weighting nearly cancels a herb this small, but it may be what the formula is for.

Taste

pungent sweet bitter bland
  • pungent 3%
  • sweet 20%
  • bitter 63%
  • bland 14%

From 100% of the weighed grams.

Channels reached

  • Liver 58%
  • Heart 42%
  • Kidney 42%
  • Stomach 40%
  • Lung 29%
  • Pericardium 25%

Share of the grams entering each channel, from 100% of the weighed grams.

Dose-weighted from each herb's recorded nature, taste and channels (missing values are left out, never counted as neutral). It describes the composition — it is not a recommendation.
