Location
On the head, anterior and superior to TE21, level with the root of the auricle, on the posterior border of the superficial temporal artery.
Needling
Depth:
0.3–0.5 cun
Angle:
Oblique or transverse, avoiding the artery
⚠ Cautions: The superficial temporal artery lies at the point — palpate and avoid.
