Location
Behind the ear lobe, in the depression between the mandible and the mastoid process.
How to locate: Press the ear lobe back against the head; the point lies in the hollow it covers.
Needling
- Shallow needling only
Depth:
0.5–1.0 cun
Angle:
Perpendicular, or directed slightly toward the opposite eye
⚠ Cautions: Do not needle deeply toward the skull base. A sensitive point — insert gently.

Indications

Clinical Notes
The single most important point for the ear and for Bell's palsy; usually markedly tender in acute facial paralysis.
