On the shoulder, in the depression posterior and inferior to the acromion, appearing when the arm is abducted — posterior to LI15.

Needling

Depth: 0.8–1.5 cun
Angle: Perpendicular with the arm abducted

Functions

  • Expels wind and damp from the shoulder
  • Activates the channel and benefits the joint

Indications

Shoulder pain and frozen shoulderinability to raise the armhemiplegiaurticaria

Clinical Notes

Used with LI15 as the standard anterior–posterior pair for shoulder joint disorders.
