Location
On the anterior thigh, on the midline of the rectus femoris, 5 cun above the upper border of the patella.
Needling
Depth:
0.5–1.0 cun
Angle:
Perpendicular
⚠ Cautions: Tung's texts direct that no more than two of the three Tong points be needled at once, and that they not be needled bilaterally at full depth in frail patients.
