On the lateral aspect of the upper arm, 2.5 cun below the shoulder joint, at the centre of the deltoid muscle.

Correspondence: Images the knee — the shoulder corresponds to the hip and the upper arm to the thigh, so a point mid-deltoid images the knee.

Clinical Notes

One of the clearest examples of Tung's imaging logic: a shoulder point that treats the knee. Widely used and reliable.
