Master Tung's Extraordinary Points · Zone 3 — Forearm (三三部位) · point 33.11

Location

On the ulnar side of the palmar forearm, 6 cun proximal to the wrist crease, on the anterior border of the ulna.

Needling

Depth: 0.5–1.0 cun
Angle: Perpendicular
⚠ Cautions: Tung's texts specify needling the left arm only for liver complaints; needling both arms is said to weaken the effect.

Functions

  • Clears damp-heat from the Liver
  • Relieves hepatitis and abdominal pain

Indications

Acute and chronic hepatitisjaundiceabdominal pain and distensionenteritis
