On the face, anterior to the angle of the mandible, on the anterior border of masseter, in the groove where the facial artery pulses.

Depth:
0.2–0.3 cun
Angle:
Oblique, avoiding the artery
⚠ Cautions: The facial artery lies at the point — palpate the pulse and needle to one side of it.
