Location

On the radial aspect of the upper arm, 4 cun below the anterior axillary fold — or 5 cun above LU5 — on the radial border of the biceps brachii.

How to locate: One cun distal to LU3, along the same line on the radial edge of the biceps.

Needling

Depth: 0.5–1.0 cun
Angle: Perpendicular

  • Descends Lung qi
  • Regulates qi and relieves fullness of the chest and heart

Indications

Cough and shortness of breathfullness of the chestcardiac painpain of the medial upper armnausea
