Location

On the face, directly below the lateral margin of the nostril, level with the midpoint of the philtrum, 0.5 cun lateral to the midline. An accepted alternative places it level with the junction of the upper third and lower two-thirds of the philtrum.

How to locate: Find the midpoint of the philtrum; the point is level with it, directly below the outer margin of the nostril, about 0.5 cun lateral to GV26.
