On the head, on the posterior midline, 5.5 cun above the posterior hairline, 1.5 cun posterior to GV20.

How to locate: Find GV20 where the line joining the ear apices crosses the midline and measure 1.5 cun backwards; alternatively measure 3 cun up from GV17.
