Location
Midway between the tip of the coccyx and the anus, located with the patient prone or in the knee-chest position.
Needling
Depth:
0.5–1.0 cun
Angle:
Oblique, directed superiorly close to the anterior surface of the coccyx
⚠ Cautions: Do not angle the needle anteriorly — the rectum lies in front. Intimate location; explain and obtain consent before treating.

- Regulates the Du Mai
- Calms the spirit and settles epilepsy
Indications
Haemorrhoids, anal fissure and anal prolapseconstipation and diarrhoeablood in the stoolepilepsy and manialumbosacral and coccygeal painimpotence
