Location

On the face, anterior to the intertragic notch, in the depression posterior to the condyloid process of the mandible, found with the mouth open.

How to locate: With the patient seated and the mouth open, feel the depression that opens in front of the intertragic notch, just behind the condyle of the mandible and directly below SI19; the point is in that hollow.

Regional anatomy: Skin and subcutaneous tissue, then the parotid gland tissue lying behind the condylar process of the mandible, in front of the ear canal.

Combinations Using This Point

Tinghui and Yifeng

Tinghui in front of the ear and Yifeng behind it — the standard frame for tinnitus and deafness, also used for facial deviation, headache and dizziness.
