Location

On the forehead, 1 cun above the midpoint of the eyebrow, directly above the pupil.

How to locate: With the patient seated or supine looking straight ahead, the point is directly above the pupil, 1 cun above the midpoint of the eyebrow, roughly a third of the way from the eyebrow to the anterior hairline.

Regional anatomy: Skin and subcutaneous tissue, then the frontal belly of occipitofrontalis down to the loose connective tissue over the frontal bone; branches of the supraorbital nerve and vessels run here.
