Location

On the lateral lower leg, 1 to 2 cun below GB34, at the point of maximum tenderness on palpation.

Focks' Atlas of Acupuncture locates it on the right leg only.

How to locate: Find GB34 in the depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula, then palpate slowly down the Gallbladder channel for the most tender spot 1–2 cun below it; the point is located by tenderness, not by measurement alone.

Clinical Notes

A reflex point that becomes markedly tender in gallbladder disease, which makes it diagnostic as well as therapeutic.
