Location

On the knee, in the depression medial to the patellar ligament, with the knee flexed.

How to locate: With the knee flexed and supported, find the depression level with the lower border of the patella, just medial to the patellar ligament; ST35 is the matching depression on the lateral side.

Angle: Oblique, directed laterally and posteriorly into the joint space

Clinical Notes

The medial member of the Xiyan pair; ST35 is the lateral. Needled together they frame the joint.
