Location
On the upper abdomen, on the anterior midline, 7 cun above the umbilicus, below the xiphoid process.
Needling
Depth:
0.4–0.6 cun
Angle:
Oblique, directed inferiorly
⚠ Cautions: Needle obliquely downward only. Classical texts list this as a point requiring particular care; the xiphoid and, beyond it, the pericardium and liver lie close.
